Oilers Compete at Detroit Titan Invitational

The University of Findlay men and women cross country teams hit the trails in Northville, Mich. on Saturday, Sep. 10 for the Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational.

Men's Results

In the four mile race, sophomore Jonathan Allen finished with a time of 20:53.0 to earn 3rd place.  Junior Matias Trampe-Kindt and sophomore Tyler Beck followed his pace and finished 13th (21:26.9) and 19th (21:36.2) respectively.

Rounding out the scoring for the Oiler men were sophomore Austin Guthrie, who collected 48th with a time of 22:41.2 and sophomore Michael Taylor, who finished 64th at the 23:09.5 mark.

Also competing for Findlay were freshman Nick Korducki (84th, 24:13.8) and sophomore Troy Schultz (88th, 24:24.7).

The Oiler men finished in 5th place as a team out of 12 teams with 121 points.

Women's Results

The Findlay women were paced by junior Taylor Bolinger, as she finished the race in 12th place at 18:57.7 mark.  Close behind was teammate senior Melanie Ruich, who crossed the line in 19:22.5 to earn 22nd.

Rounding out the scoring for the Oilers was senior Nicole Burlinson, who clocked in at 19:50.9 to grab 30th, freshman Madisen Borer finished 32nd at the 19:54.3 mark, and freshman Madilyn Greiner claimed 50th with a time of 20:43.3.

Also competing for the Findlay women were freshman Jenna Shipman (55th, 20:50.7), senior Maud Sanmiquel (65th, 21:24.1), sophomore Torrie Purdy (69th, 21:34.9), freshman Sidney Towalski (78th, 22:06.1), freshman Aubreah Manns (87th, 22:53.1), sophomore Heidi Paxson (94th, 23:24.0), and senior Kailey Coleman (97th, 23:37.2).

The Oiler women finished in 4th place as a team out of ten teams with 108 total points.

The Oilers cross country teams are back in action on Saturday, Sep. 17 in Westerville, Ohio for the Otterbein Invitational.  The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m.
