Eight Oilers Set Program Marks at Go-Fast River Run in Pennsylvania

Lock Haven, PA - The University of Findlay men's and women's cross-country teams participated at the Go-Fast River Run on Saturday, Oct. 22. The event features 16 schools. The men competed in an 8k race and the women competed in a 6k race.  

The men's team finished third as a team with 72 points and the women finished runner-up with a score of 69. Both teams put some names in the record books as the men had three of the top 12 times in program history while the women had five of the top 20 times in program history.

Men 

The Oilers top finisher was sophomore Noah Fisher who took second place with a time of 24:02.30. It is the third best time in program history for Fisher who now owns the top four 8k times at UF.

Senior Nick DeHaven secured fifth place with a time of 24:46.50, the eighth best time in program history. Just behind him in seventh place was sophomore Jordan Foster with a time of 24:58.90 which was the 12th best time in program history.  

38th place went to sophomore Connor Hill with a time of 25:54.90. 39th place went to freshman Simon Derstine with a time of 25:54.90. Colin Moats finished in 52nd with a time of 26:27.30 while sophomore Zack Britton took 63rd with a 26:52.80.

Women 

Senior Gabrielle Lawrence finished in ninth place with a time of 22:12.80, the seventh-best 6,000m time in program history. 11th place went to sophomore Maya Hamsher with a time of 22:14.90, the eighth best time in program history.

Sophomore Ava Beam secured 12th place with a time of 22:20.90, the ninth best time in program history. 16th place went to Freshman Sarah Reinhart with a time of 22:39.60, the 14th best time in program history while freshman Taylor Ward placed 21st with a time of 22:52.10, 20th best time in program history.

The Oilers will be back in action for the G-MAC Championship on Saturday Nov. 5, Women starting at 10:30am and Men starting at 11:30am at the Hillcrest Golf Club.
