Oilers Complete Events At Penn, Ashland

The University of Findlay men's and women's outdoor track and field teams completed the Penn Relays on Saturday, April 30 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and were led by Raven Clay who finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 13.75.

Cody Crockett added a 23rd place finish in the javelin at 177'03.

The Oilers also sent a group of competitors to Ashland, Ohio and were led by Justin Eilerman who took second in the 1500-meter at 4:00.07.

Nathaniel Kurtz took fourth in the javelin after a toss of 163'08, Chris Ehrman was fifth in the pole vault at 14'07.5 and Darren Bass was fifth in the shot put with a provisional heave of 55'05.5.

Kurtz was also sixth in the shot put at 55'04.75.

On the women's side, Brittany Thomas and Laura Kelly tied for seventh in the high jump at 5'01 while Randi Depp finished eighth in the hammer throw with a provisional toss of 168'08.

Jessica Vorst added a tenth place finish in the shot put at 44'08.25, a provisional mark.

The Oilers will be back in action again on May 5-6 at the GLIAC Championship in Midland, Michigan.
