Oilers Have Good Showing At Ashland

The University of Findlay men's and women's outdoor track and field teams completed the Ashland University Invitational on Friday, April 22 in Ashland, Ohio.

On the men's side, Cody Crockett won the javelin with a mark of 178'08 and Shane Shockey was victorious in the pole vault with a provisional leap of 16'05.25.

Nathaniel Kurtz took second place in the discus with a provisional toss of 165'05 and was fourth in the shot put with a provisional heave of 54'06.50 while De'Jon Faulkner was third in the 100-meter dash at 11.54.

On the women's side, Catherine Wiemers won the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.70 while Pam Fink, Jessica Vorst and Randi Depp all took second in their respective events.

Fink took second in the pole vault at 7'06, Vorst was second in the shot put with a provisional and school record breaking toss of 46'04.25 and Depp was the runner-up in the hammer throw after a provisional heave of 176'09.

Jaclyn Bares added a third place finish in the javelin at 122'07.
