Oilers Finish Day One At Gala

The University of Findlay men and women's indoor track and field teams completed the first day of the Golden Flashes Gala on Friday, Dec. 9th in Kent, Ohio.

Glen Forsythe led all Oilers with a third place finish in the men's long jump with a distance of 22'03.75.

On the women's side, Jessica Rowland proved successful with two top 10 finishes.  Rowland placed fifth in the shot put with a heave of 30'10.25, and seventh in the weight throw even with an NCAA provisional qualifying throw of 57'11.00.

The Golden Flash Gala will conclude tomorrow.  The first event of the day is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
