The University of Findlay men and women's track and field team completed day one of the All-Ohio Championships on Friday, April 20th at Miami of Ohio University.

Derrick Vicars shattered the Findlay school record in the hammer throw with an NCAA automatic qualifying, first place toss of 216'08 - which is also good enough for the second ranked mark in the nation and is an Olympic B standard qualifying toss.

Cody Crockett finished fifth in the javelin with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 201'08.

In women's action, Jessica Rowland placed third in the hammer throw with her school record, NCAA automatic qualifying toss of 194'07.  That mark is also good enough to rank second in the nation.  Rowland also placed sixth in the javelin with a mark of 116'10.

The All-Ohio Championships are scheduled to conclude tomorrow.
