Rowland, Bascal Set New Records At Penn Relays

The University of Findlay men and women's track and field teams completed day one of the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.

Jessica Rowland set a new school record in the hammer throw with her second place, NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 195'30.  She also placed ninth in the shot put with an NCAA provisional qualifying heave of 46'11.75.

Shoayb Bascal competed in the 5,000-meter run setting a new school record with a time of 14:42.82.

Day two of the Penn Relays is scheduled to resume tomorrow.
