Oilers Complete Day One Of Hillsdale Classic
The University of Findlay men and women's track and field team completed day one of the Hillsdale Classic on Wednesday May, 8 in Hillsdale, Mich.
Marcus Vicars won the shot put with an NCAA provisional qualifying heave of 55'02.00 while Dillon Webster placed second in the 800-meter run with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:50.42.
In other men's events, John Guagenti won the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.19 and Darren Johnson tied for first in the high jump with a mark of 6'08.00.
On the women's side, Pam Showman is leading the heptathlon with 3,068 total points while Christine Zimmermann won the 800-meter run with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 2:11.10.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Maud Sanmiquel, Zimmermann, Shelby Stump and Kirsten Gaerke took second with an NCAA provisional time of 3:46.00.
The Hillsdale Classic will conclude tomorrow.
