Kasey Petty, women's golfer

Top Athletes Since 2000 | Kasey Petty

Since we can't play sports, we have decided to look back on the past 20 years and highlight some of the best student-athletes to wear the Orange and Black since 2000. Next up is former women's golf sensation, Kasey (Petty) Miller.

Kasey helped transform the Oilers golf program into a national power as she recorded three top-15 finishes at the NCAA Division II National Championship. She finished 12th at the event during her sophomore season in 2014 before taking ninth as a junior in 2015. As a senior in 2016, Kasey finished as the national runner-up after posting a 72-hole score of 283 (-5), the lowest total in school history.

Kasey was a first team NCAA Division II All-American in 2016 and earned honorable mention accolades in 2015. She was also an all-East Region pick in each of those years.

The 2016 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the Year won three tournaments during her career and was voted all-conference three times during her career. She also holds the school record for lowest season average (73.97), set during the 2015-16 campaign.
