The University of Findlay baseball team dropped a pair of games to Wayne State University on Wednesday, April 17 in Detroit, Mich.

The Oilers fell 7-5 in game one, which was a continuation to a game that was postponed earlier this year.

Tied at two going into the ninth, Wayne State's bats exploded for nine runs in the top of the inning. The Oilers made it interesting, scoring three runs in the bottom half of the inning but were unable to tie the game.

Tommy Roush was 2-for-3 with a double and scored a run, while Blake Schmenk went 2-for-4 with two RBI's.

Drew Hargrove took the loss despite giving up only one earned run on 10 hits while striking out three.

Findlay fell by the score of 16-0 in the second game, as it was cut short in the bottom of the eighth due to inclement weather.

Joe Sickler recorded two of the Oilers' four hits while Jordan Garcia and Victor Migliore each had a double.

Findlay is now 14-18 overall with a 7-13 mark in GLIAC action. Their next matchup will come on Saturday as they host Hillsdale at Fifth Third Field.
