#8 Oilers Earn 76-60 Win Over Ohio Valley

The eighth-ranked University of Findlay men's basketball team came away with a 76-60 win over Ohio Valley University on Feb. 23 in Vienna, W. Va. The victory gives the Oiler a 23-3 record on the season with a 16-2 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).

Senior forward Alex White led the way with his 11th double-double of the season. White finished the contest with a game-high 24 points on 10-of-18 shooting to go along with ten rebounds and a block.

Sophomore guard Tommy Schmock also had a great game for the Oilers, finishing with 14 points, a season-high five steals, four rebounds, and two assists.

Sophomore forward Anthony Masterlasco reached double figures with ten points to go along with a career-high five assists while junior guard Corbin Linder and senior guard Trey Smith each had eight points apiece.

The Oilers only shot 42.4 percent (25-of-59) from the floor during the win but held a 36-25 advantage on the boards. They also grabbed 14 offensive rebounds and came away with 11 steals in the game.

The Fighting Scots were paced by David Adeyemo's 14 points and eight rebounds.

The Oilers will now return home and prepare to face Kentucky Wesleyan College at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 28.
