#17 Oilers Beat Quincy 88-75

The University of Findlay men's basketball team claimed an 88-75 win over Quincy University on Nov. 9 in Niekamp Arena to even their record at 1-1 on the season.

The Oilers shot 55.7 percent (34-of-61) from the floor and made 9-of-19 (47.4%) tries from behind the three point line. They also held a 38-22 advantage on the boards and came away with ten steals in the victory.

Freshman forward Nathan Bruns led the Oilers with 17 points, ten rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block, while junior guard Tommy Schmock had 16 points, six assists, five steals, and three rebounds.

Sophomore guard Ethan Linder came off the bench to provide 12 points and three rebounds while junior forward Anthony Masterlasco reached double figures with ten points to go along with five boards.

The Hawks were led by Tanner Stuckman's 18 points.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Nov. 16 when they travel to Big Rapids, Mich. to face Ferris State University at 3pm.
