The Oilers will host Lake Erie College in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) quarterfinal on March 3. The contest is scheduled to tip at 7:30 p.m. in Niekamp Arena.

Series Information

The Oilers hold a 27-2 advantage in the all-time series against Lake Erie dating back to the 1988-89 campaign when Findlay was victorious by a score of 84-51.

Earlier this season the Oilers claimed a 75-64 win over the Storm in Niekamp Arena before winning 72-64 in Painesville.

In the home win, the Oilers shot 45.9 percent (28-of-61) from the floor and drilled 7-of-19 (36.8%) three point attempts in the win. They also outrebounded the Storm 45-27 and blocked eight shots in the contest.

Tommy Schmock finished the game with a double-double, scoring 14 points to go along with 11 assists. He also grabbed four rebounds and recorded four steals in the win.

Aaron Overhiser double-doubled as well, finishing with 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Nathan Bruns led all Findlay scorers with 15 points.

In the road victory, Schmock led the way with 19 points, four assists, and four steals while Bruns had 13 points and four boards.

Ethan Linder reached double figures with 12 points to go along with five rebounds while Anthony Masterlasco had eight points and a career-high ten rebounds.

Findlay

The Oilers are 20-7 on the season. Freshman forward Nathan Bruns leads the team with averages of 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while junior forward Anthony Masterlasco is contributing 10.9 points per outing.

Junior guard Tommy Schmock is stuffing the stat sheet with averages of 10.9 points, 6.9 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per contest while sophomore guard Ethan Linder (10.6) and senior forward Aaron Overhiser (10.2) are also averaging in double figures.

The Storm are 14-14 on the season and have been led by Gabe Kynard, who is averaging a league-high 20.7 points per game. He also averages 5.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.

Kevin Peterson is nearly averaging in double figures at 9.8 points per contest while Jacob Plantz is scoring 9.1 points per outing.
