#24 Oilers Cruise to 89-74 Win Over Dragons

The 24th-ranked University of Findlay men's basketball team cruised to an 89-74 win over Tiffin University on Dec. 11 in Niekamp Arena. The victory gives the Oilers a 2-0 record on the season.

The Oilers shot 50.7 percent (36-of-71) from the floor and held a 52-30 advantage on the boards in the win. They also limited the Dragons to a 41.2 percent (28-of-68) shooting clip.

Sophomore forward Nathan Bruns paced the Oilers with 22 points and a career-high 12 rebounds while junior forward Brady Wildermuth posted a career-high 14 points and eight rebounds in only 13 minutes of action.

Senior forward Anthony Masterlasco also played well and finished with 14 points while junior guard Ethan Linder came off the bench to provide 13 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Sophomore guard Joey Edmonds nearly reached double figures with nine points while freshman forward Andrew Owens had six points and four boards.

Senior guard Tommy Schmock recorded five points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals for Findlay as well.

The Dragons were led by Thomas Hickman's 16 points.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Dec. 13 when they host Ohio Valley University at 3pm inside the Croy Physical Education Center.
