#10 Oilers Host #23 Chargers on Saturday

The 10th-ranked Oilers will be at back at home on Jan. 2 to host 23rd-ranked Hillsdale College. The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) contest is scheduled to begin at 3pm in Niekamp Arena.

Series Information

The Oilers currently own a commanding 54-11 advantage in the all-time series against the Chargers dating back to the 1959-60 campaign when Findlay won 90-59.

The Chargers swept their season series with the Oilers last season, winning 77-65 at home and 59-54 in Findlay.

In the Oilers road loss, Ethan Linder led the way with 14 points while Anthony Masterlasco had 11.

Aaron Overhiser nearly recorded a double-double with ten points and eight rebounds while Tommy Schmock and Nathan Bruns had eight and six points, respectively.

In the loss at home, the Oilers struggled to score in the contest and shot only 36.1 percent (22-of-61) from the floor. They made only 2-of-21 (9.5%) tries from behind the three point line and were outrebounded 42-35.

Schmock led the way with 14 points, seven assists, and four rebounds while Overhiser had 12 points and seven boards.

Andrew Emrick came off the bench to provide ten points and four rebounds while Chazz George and Masterlasco had five points apiece.

#10 Findlay

The Oilers are 4-0 on the season and are averaging 86.5 points per game. They have also rebounded the ball well, grabbing 41.0 boards per contest to out-rebound their opponents by 9.8 per game.

Senior forward Anthony Masterlasco leads the team in scoring at 15.0 points per game while connecting on 64.9 percent of his field goal attempts.

Sophomore forward Nathan Bruns is averaging 13.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while senior guard Tommy Schmock is averaging 11.8 points per contest while adding 5.8 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.

#23 Hillsdale

The Chargers are 3-0 on the year and are averaging 100.5 points per game while shooting 56 percent from the floor and 51.6 percent from behind the three point line.

Austen Yarlan leads five Chargers who are averaging in double figures at 20.3 points per game. He is also tied for the team-lead with 6.0 rebounds per contest.

Patrick Cartier is averaging 17.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while Kyle Goessler is scoring 10.7 points per contest and is making 2.7 three pointers per game.

Connor Hill is scoring 10.3 points per game while Tavon Brown is averaging 10.0 points per outing.
