#9 Oilers Roll at Trevecca | Win 71-37

The 9th-ranked University of Findlay men's basketball team blasted Trevecca Nazarene University by a score of 71-37 on Jan. 23 in Nashville, Tenn. The victory pushes the Oilers record to 9-1 on the year with an 8-1 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).

The Oilers shot 49.1 percent (27-of-55) from the field and drained 12-of-25 (48%) tries from behind the three point line. They also limited the Trojans to a mere 32.6 percent (15-of-46) shooting clip, which included a 2-of-15 (13.3%) showing from the three point line.

Sophomore forward Nathan Bruns led the way with 14 points and five rebounds while senior forward Anthony Masterlasco had nine points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Freshman forward Anthony Owens, sophomore guard Eisley Swaine, and junior guard Ethan Linder all had eight points while senior guard Tre'Maine Gray and Tommy Schmock had seven points apiece. Schmock also recorded a pair of assists in the victory to give him 562 for his career, a new school record. He topped the mark of 561 set by former Oilers legend Dustin Pfeifer (2003-06).

The Trojans were led by Brendan Newton's 14 points.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Jan. 28 when they host Ohio Dominican University at 7:30 p.m.
