#7 Oilers Cruise to 96-60 Win

The 7th-ranked University of Findlay men's basketball team used a big second half to defeat Ohio Dominican University by a score of 96-60 on Jan. 28 in Niekamp Arena. The win gives the Oilers a 10-1 record on the season with a 9-1 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).

The Oilers led 40-38 at the break and then blew the game wide open in the second half as they outscored the Panthers by a 56-22 margin. They ended the game by hitting 57.6 percent (38-of-66) of their shot attempts and made 13-of-24 (54.2%) of their three point attempts. They also recorded 25 assists and came away with ten steals in the victory.

Sophomore forward Nathan Bruns led the Oilers with 16 points and seven rebounds while senior guards Tre'Maine Gray and Tommy Schmock had 14 points apiece. Gray made all six of his field goal attempts while Schmock chipped in eight assists and four steals.

Senior forward Anthony Masterlasco also reached double figures with 12 points to go along with four rebounds while sophomore guard Eisley Swaine came off the bench to provide eight points and two boards.

Junior guard Ethan Linder chipped in seven points while sophomore guard Joey Edmonds scored six.

The Panthers were led by Zach Szul's 23 points.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Saturday when they host Lake Erie College at 3pm.
