#7 Oilers at Lake Erie | #15 Hillsdale This Week

The 7th-ranked Oilers will have two games this week beginning on Feb. 1 when they are at Lake Erie for a 7:30 p.m. contest. They will also travel to 15th-ranked Hillsdale on Feb. 6 for a 3:00 p.m. game.

Series Information (Lake Erie)

The Oilers hold a 29-2 advantage in the all-time series against Lake Erie dating back to the 1988-89 campaign when Findlay was victorious by a score of 84-51.

Findlay came away with an 83-67 win over the Storm on Jan. 30 in Niekamp Arena behind 12 points from Anthony Masterlasco. Andrew Owens had 11 while Nathan Bruns scored 10.

The Oilers shot 50.8 percent (33-of-65) from the floor and limited the Storm to a 37.7 percent (26-of-69) shooting clip. They also held a 41-34 advantage on the boards and came away with eight steals in the game.

Series Information (Hillsdale)

The Oilers currently own a commanding 55-11 advantage in the all-time series against the Chargers dating back to the 1959-60 campaign when Findlay won 90-59.

Earlier this season the Oilers defeated Hillsdale 68-65 on a buzzer-beating, half-court shot by Tommy Schmock.

The Oilers shot 43.9 percent (25-of-57) from the floor while the Chargers converted 52.4 percent (22-of-42) of their field goal attempts. The Oilers came away with nine steals in the game as well and made 8of-18 (44.4%) attempts from behind the three point line.

Ethan Linder came off the bench to pace the Oilers with 15 points and four rebounds while Anthony Masterlasco had 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting.

Nathan Bruns also reached double figures with 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting while Schmock ended the game with ten points, four steals, and three assists.

#7 Findlay

The Oilers are 11-1 on the season with a 10-1 record in league play. They have been led by senior forward Anthony Masterlasco, who is averaging 13.6 points per game on 67.7 percent shooting from the field.

Sophomore forward Nathan Bruns is averaging 12.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while senior guard Tommy Schmock is contributing 11.1 points, 5.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game.
