#23 Oilers Beat Scots 76-60

The 23rd-ranked University of Findlay men's basketball team claimed a 76-60 win over Ohio Valley University on Feb. 18 in Vienna, W. Va. to run their record to 15-4 on the season with a 14-4 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).

The Oilers shot 53.4 percent (31-of-58) from the floor in the victory and held a 37-28 advantage on the boards. They also limited the Fighting Scots to a 40.4 percent (21-of-52) shooting clip, but turned the ball over 18 times.

Junior forward Brady Wildermuth came off the bench to lead the Oilers with 13 points while senior guard Tommy Schmock, senior forward Anthony Masterlasco, and freshman forward Andrew Owens each finished with 12 points apiece. Masterlasco also tied his career-high with ten rebounds. Both Schmock and Masterlasco sit two points shy of reaching 1,000 points for their career.

Sophomore forward Nathan Bruns also reached double figures with ten points to go along with nine rebounds while sophomore guard Joey Edmonds had eight points and three assists.

The Fighting Scots were led by Keon Claiborne and Cameron Shaw's 13 points apiece.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Feb. 22 when they travel to Columbus, Ohio to face Ohio Dominican University at 7:30 p.m.
