#23 Oilers Beat Panthers 62-52

The 23rd-ranked University of Findlay men's basketball team picked up a 62-52 win over Ohio Dominican University on Feb. 22 in Columbus, Ohio. The win gives the Oilers a 16-4 record on the season with a 15-4 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).

The Oilers only shot 43.3 percent (26-of-60) from the floor in the game, but held the Panthers to a mere 33.3 percent (19-of-57) shooting clip. They also forced 19 turnovers and came away with ten steals in the victory.

Freshman forward Andrew Owens led the way with 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting. He also added six rebounds and two steals.

Junior forward Deven Stover and sophomore forward Nathan Bruns had nine points apiece while senior forward Anthony Masterlasco finished with seven points and nine rebounds. He also became the Oilers 49th player to reach 1,000 points in a career during the win and has scored 1,005 points during his tenure with Findlay.

The Panthers were led by Zach Szul's 16 points.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Feb. 24 when they travel to Cedarville University for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
