#20 Oilers Rout Scots 99-55

The 20th-ranked University of Findlay men's basketball team cruised to a 99-55 victory at home over Ohio Valley University on Mar. 2 in the opening round of the 2021 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament. The win gives the Oilers an 18-4 record on the year.

The Oilers shot 57.6 percent (38-of-66) from the floor and canned 9-of-18 (50%) attempts from behind the three point line in the game. They also forced a season-high 25 turnovers and came away with a season-high 17 steals in the win.

Junior forward Deven Stover had a team-high 14 points while senior forward Anthony Masterlasco and senior guard Tommy Schmock had 12 points apiece. Stover added four rebounds while Masterlasco had six boards, four steals, and three assists. Schmock also stuffed the stat sheet with five assists and five steals.

Sophomore forward Nathan Bruns also reached double figures with 11 points while senior guard Tre'Maine Gray had nine.

Sophomore guard Eisley Swaine came off the bench to provide seven points while sophomore guard Joey Edmonds and junior forward Brady Wildermuth had six.

The Fighting Scots, who shot only 35.0 percent (21-of-60) from the floor, were led by Cameron Shaw's 16 points.

The Oilers will move on in the tournament and play on Friday, Mar. 5 against an opponent to be determined in Hillsdale, Mich.
