Spartans Beat Oilers 72-55

The University of Findlay men's basketball team fell 72-55 to St. Thomas Aquinas on Nov. 20 in Neikamp Arena. The loss gives the Oilers a 2-2 record on the season.

The Oilers hit on only 40.7 percent (24-of-59) of their shot attempts and were a mere 6-of-31 (19.4%) from behind the three point line. The Spartans meanwhile connected on 47.4 percent (27-of-57) of their field goal attempts and made 13-of-29 (44.8%) from three point range.

Senior forward Brady Wildermuth and junior guard Joey Edmonds paced the Oilers with 11 points apiece while senior forward Anthony Masterlasco and junior forward Nathan Bruns had ten points apiece. Bruns also added ten rebounds in the loss.

Sean Moore led the Spartans with 18 points and eight rebounds.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Tuesday when they host Ferris State University at 7pm.
