Oilers Beat Trojans 86-56

The University of Findlay men's basketball team kicked off conference play with an 86-56 win over Trevecca Nazarene University on Dec. 2 in Nashville, Tenn. The victory gives the Oilers a 1-0 record in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Oilers shot 52.3 percent (34-of-65) from the floor and drilled 13-of-28 (46.4%) attempts from behind the three point line in the win. They also held a 38-23 advantage on the boards and dished out 19 assists in the game.

Senior guard Tre'Maine Gray scored a team-high 21 points to pace the Oilers while junior guard Joey Edmonds had 16.

Junior forward Nathan Bruns recorded a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds while senior guard Ethan Linder and freshman forward Josh Thorbahn each had 11.

The Trojans were led by Josh Price's 18 points.

The Oilers will now head to Owensboro, Ky. to take on Kentucky Wesleyan College on Dec. 4 at 3:15pm.
