Oilers Smash 13th-Ranked Hillsdale 85-68

The University of Findlay men's basketball claimed an 85-68 win over 13th-ranked Hillsdale College on Dec. 18 in Hillsdale, Mich. The victory gives the Oilers a 7-5 record on the season with a 2-3 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Oilers shot a sizzling 58.5 percent (31-of-53) from the floor in the win and held a 44-30 advantage in points in the paint. They also held a 19-9 lead in fast break points as they scored their second victory this season over a nationally-ranked team.

Junior guard Joey Edmonds tied his career-high with 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting while senior guard Tre'Maine Gray had 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting.

Senior forward Anthony Masterlasco finished with 14 points and six rebounds, senior forward Brady Wildermuth had 14 points and four rebounds, and junior forward Nathan Bruns recorded 12 points and nine rebounds.

Freshman forward Josh Thorbahn nearly reached double figures with eight points.

The Chargers were led by Patrick Cartier's 26 points.
