The University of Findlay men's basketball team defeated Tiffin University 88-81 on Jan. 13 in Niekamp Arena. The win gives the Oilers a 9-5 record on the season with a 3-3 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
The Oilers shot 51.6 percent (32-of-62 from the floor and held a 39-31 advantage on the boards. They also made 17-of-19 (89.5%) attempts from the free throw line in the victory.
Junior forward Nathan Bruns led Findlay with a season-high 24 points on 11-of-15 shooting. He also had ten rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Senior guard Tre'Maine Gray recorded 14 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals while senior forwards Anthony Masterlasco and Brady Wildermuth had 12 points apiece.
Senior guard Ethan Linder also reached double figures with 11 points while junior guard Joey Edmonds had eight points and five assists.
The Dragons were led by Luke Johnson's 24 points and nine rebounds.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Saturday when they hit the road to take on Ashland University at 3pm.
