Oilers in 11th After Day 1 in Kentucky

The University of Findlay men's golf team is currently in 11th place at their Spring Invitational, which is being hosted at the University Club of Kentucky – Big Blue in Lexington, Ky. The Oilers shot a first round score of 304.

Justin Roth paced the Oilers on the first day with a 2-over par score of 74. Roth, who is tied for 22nd, had 14 pars and a birdie during his round. As a team, the Oilers posted 61 pars on day one, the second-highest total at the tournament.

Cameron Bruce carded a 4-over par score of 76 and is tied for 42nd while Luke Kelly and Dylan DeWitt are each tied for 52nd after posting 77's.

Sam Griffith was the final member of the Oilers 5-man team competing and he recorded a 79, which was good for 70th.

Cam Wardley, competing as an individual, shot a 4-over 76 and is tied for 42nd.

The event will continue tomorrow.
