Oilers in 2nd Place at Lindenwood Invitational

RESULTS

St. Charles, MO- The University of Findlay men's golf team took the course on Monday, March 22nd at the Lindenwood Invitational. After one round of play, the Oilers are 11 strokes back of first sitting in second place going into the final round tomorrow. The team shot a first round team score of 293 (+9).

Playing as individuals for the tournament, senior Brock Kehres and junior Caleb Westfall fired 69's (-2) in the round to place themselves in a tie for second place overall in the field. They each are one off the lead going into the final round.

For the team, freshman Donnie Professori led the way with an even par 71 to pace the Oilers. Professori currently leads the tournament in birdies made with seven birdies in his first 18 holes of play and is in a tie for 7th.

Following behind him was senior Luke Kelly. Kelly finished the round with a 73 (+2). The leader in par three scoring for the tournament at two under currently sits in a tie for 13th. Also in a tie for 13th place is freshman Justin Atkinson. Atkinson fired a 73 (+2) round one score as well.

Junior Tanner Grzegorczyk finished the first round with a 76 (+5), good for a tie for 29th, and rounding out the Oilers was senior Parker Haynes who finished with a 77 (+6) and sits in a tie for 33rd.

The Oilers will look to make a run to capture their second win of the season in the final round on Tuesday, March 23rd at Missouri Bluffs Golf Course. The final round will begin at 1:00 p.m. and followed through GolfStat.
