Findlay Tied for 9th at Regional

Results Day 2

Kansas City, MO - The University of Findlay men's golf team continued competition on Friday, May 7 at the Midwest/Central Division II Regional Championship at Shoal Creek Golf Club. The Oilers improved their score in round two as they shot a 287 as a team, which keeps them at 11th place overall. The Oilers are currently 13 shots out of a chance to clinch a birth at the NCAA Division II National Championship. 

Senior Luke Kelly led the way for the orange and black in round two as he shot a 66 (-5), which puts him in a tie for 13th place overall. Kelly's score was tied for the second best in school history for an individual round.

Junior Tanner Grzegorczyk had a solid outing as he shot one over par for a 72, and currently is tied for 34th place. Senior Parker Haynes scored a 74 (+3) in round two, and also sits in a tie for 34th place overall.

Senior Brock Kehres tallied a score of 75 (+4) on the day and sits at 75th overall. And rounding out the Oilers competing on the day was freshman Justin Atkinson who finished the day with a 77 (+6), and is now at a tie for 67th place.

The Oilers will wrap up competition tomorrow on Saturday, May 8 as they will seek to claim a spot in the Division II National Championship.
