Oilers Finish Fifth in Spring Opener 

Sevierville, Tenn.- The University of Findlay men's golf team finished in fifth place at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, which wrapped up play today, Mar. 15 at the Sevierville Golf Club hosted by Tennessee Tech University. The Oilers shot an even-par (294, 282). The Oilers finished 29 strokes behind the leader, Carson-Newman.  

The sophomore duo Donnie Professori and Justin Atkinson led the Oilers. They both finished tied for 14th at three-under par. Professori shot 72,69 while Atkinson shot 74,67. Atkinson's 67 is the third lowest score in program history and Atkinson's career-low round. He carded three birdies and an eagle on the day.  

Senior Tanner Grzegorczyk finished in a tie for 27th at one-over par (73,72).  Senior Brock Kehres finished five-over par (75,74) and in a tie for 50th. Rounding out the lineup was senior Hunter Foltz who finished in a tie for 63rd at eight-over par (75,77). 

Competing individually, senior Parker Haynes finished four-over par (72,76) in a tie for 44th.  

The Oilers will be back in action Mar. 19 and 20 at the SVSU Spring Invite in Lexington, Ky.
