Oilers in Third after Day One of Findlay Spring Invite 

Lexington, Ky.- The University of Findlay men's golf team wrapped up round one and part of round two (due to darkness) of the Findlay Spring Invite today, Mar. 28 at the University Club of Kentucky, Big Blue Course. Through 33 holes the Oilers sit in third place after posting a round one score of 293 (+5) and are currently six-under on the second round. They trail Grand Valley State University by nine strokes. 

Leading the way is senior Tanner Grzegorczyk. He is currently in tied for fifth place overall after rounds of 72 (E) and is currently three-under par in his second round putting him at three-under par for the day. Grzegorczyk averaged under-par on both the par threes and par fours and averaged even par on the par fives.  

Following Grzegorczyk is senior Parker Haynes. He is ties for fifteen place at one-under par after a round one score of 72 (E) and is currently one-under par in his second round. Sophomore Donnie Professori is in a tie for 28th. Professori had a round one score of 73 (+1) and is currently even par for the second round leaving him at one over-par for day one. Rounding out the lineup are senior Brock Kehres and sophomore Justin Atkinson who are both in a tie for 46th after a day one score of three-over par. Kehres had a round one score of 76 (+4) and is currently one-under par in his second round. Atkinson shot an opening round 76 (+4) and is currently one-under par in his second round.  

Competing as individuals in the event were freshman Jonathan Green, junior Nathan Osborn, and senior Hunter Foltz. Green is currently three-under par and is tied for fifth with a round one of score of 70 (-2) and is now one-under in his second round. Meanwhile Osborn is even par after a round one 71 (-1) and is now one-over par in the second round putting him in a tie for 22nd. Foltz is at six-over par after a first round one score of 75 (+3) and is now three-over par in the second round and is tied for 66th.  

Findlay will wrap up the Findlay Spring Invite tomorrow, Mar. 29 with a shotgun start at 10am.
