Oliver Named GLIAC Freshman of the Year

Freshman Alex Oliver of The University of Findlay men's soccer team was selected as the 2010 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Freshman of the Year on Thursday, November 4 by the coaches in the league.

Oliver played in 15 games for the Oilers and contributed a goal and an assist during his first season. The Hamilton, Ohio native also ranked third on the team with nine shots on goal and took 20 total shots during the 2010 campaign.

Tiffin's Ashton Campbell was named the Offensive Player of the Year while Ohio Dominican's A.J. Mueller captured Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Willy Merrick, Ohio Dominican's skipper, was named the GLIAC Coach of the Year for the 2010 season.
