Findlay, OH – The University of Findlay men's soccer team came out with a big win on Saturday, October 13 over the Tiffin Dragons with a final score of 2-0. The win improves the Oilers to 4-10 on the season with a 4-7 record in conference play. The Dragons move to 10-4 on the season with a conference record of 8-3.

Findlay was first to put a goal on the board with a header by senior Josh Burton off of corner kick by junior Josh Dickinson. Six minutes later, Josh Burton found freshman Stephan Psyhogios for a goal to give the Oilers a 2-0 lead.

Both teams were playing physical, with eight yellow cards total throughout the game. However, the Oilers were able to hold their ground and keep the Dragons scoreless until the clock hit zero.

Josh Burton had three shots for the Oilers while freshman Gilberto Quintero and Josh Dickinson each had two.

Senior Nathan Sier was in net for Findlay and had five saves in the win.

The University of Findlay men's soccer team raised over $1,000 for the Children's Mentoring Connection, which was presented in the form of a check to CMC Director Stacy Shaw.

The Oilers will be back at DeHaven Field on Thursday, October 18 to face G-MAC competitor Ohio Valley. The matchup is set to begin at 4:00 PM.
