Oilers Roll Through Panthers | Gilles Records 3 Goals

Findlay, OH- The University of Findlay Men's Soccer team hosted the Ohio Dominican University Panthers on Saturday Oct 1. Coming into the game the Oilers held a 6-3-1 overall record and a 4-2-1 record in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. 

The Oilers offense was firing on all cylinders from the start of the game. Senior Bjoern Gilles would start the scoring frenzy off in the 25th minute of play when he found the back of the net on a penalty kick. 

Junior Mitchell Hanosh would get in on the scoring action on in the 55th minute to put the Oilers up 2-0 off an assist from freshmen Adam Boone

In the 65th minute Gilles would find the back of the net for the second time on his second penalty kick attempt of the game to give the Oilers a 3-0 lead.

Junior Nick McCracken would record a goal of his own in the 84th minute unassisted to give Findlay a commanding 4-0 lead. 

The Oilers were not done as Gilles would find the back of the net for his 3rd goal of the contest in the 87th minute of play off an assist from Sophomore Christian Palushaj.

Palushaj would aid the Oilers with another assist on the Oilers 6th goal of the game, this time from Sophomore Brendan Ash.

With the 6-0 voctory the Oilers advance to 7-3-1 on the season and 5-2-1 in the G-MAC. Findlay will travel to Northwood University for their next matchup with the Timberwolves on Thursday Oct 6.
