Tennis Teams Honored for Academic Achievements

The University of Findlay men and women's tennis teams received the All-Academic Team Award from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on July 28 for their work in the classroom during the 2019-20 campaign.

In addition, the women's team had ten individuals capture Scholar Athlete honors while the men had five.

Laiying Alvarado, Madison Arquette, Laura Brito, Kayley Gimbel, Eliza Kirov, Taylor Lighty, Cristina Nieto Soto, Luciana Pereyra, Sullivan Sanders, and Samantha Sweet were all honored from the women's team. Alfredo Berlanga, Andrew Codita, Brayden Doherty, Tomas Kmetko, and Ivaylo Slavov were also selected from the men's team.

To be honored with the award, a team must have a grade point average of 3.2 or above. Individuals are selected as scholar athletes by having a 3.5 GPA or above.
