Bio

Doug Linden is entering his eleventh year as the Oilers head men's tennis coach during the 2023-24 season.

During the 2023 campaign, the Oilers finished the season with an 12-10 record. Their season ended in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship Semifinals. Findlay found themselves in the Midwest Regional Rankings for the first time in program history and were on the verge of making the program's first NCAA Regional appearance. 

Linden led the Oilers to a 12-12 record during the 2022 campaign. He was named Great Midwest Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Oilers to the G-MAC regular season title.

Linden oversees both the men's and women's programs while serving as the head coach of the men. During his tenure at UF, Linden has led the men's team to a 99-96 record while the women have a record of 47-76.

During his tenure with the programs, Linden has coached 11 male athletes to first team all-conference accolades. He has also produced eight second team honorees and four honorable mention selections. On the women's side, Linden has coached five first team all-league players, three second team all-conference players and three honorable mention picks.

Linden, who served as an assistant coach for both the men and women at Oberlin College during the 2011-2012 season, was the head coach at St. Mary Central High School in Sandusky, Ohio from 2008-12.

Linden also worked as the head tennis professional at the Baywinds Athletic Club from 2010-12 and was a coach at the Competitive Training Center from 2010-11.

As a player, Linden won an Ohio state championship in doubles competition during the 1981 campaign.
