The University of Findlay softball team fell 0-3 to #9 Grand Valley State on Friday, May 3 in the first round of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament. The Oilers are now 25-14 overall with a 13-12 mark in conference action.
Brittany Dauterman was saddled with the loss, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks. Dauterman fanned two batters in her seven innings on the mound.
Jackie Messersmith went 2-for-3 from the plate as both Carly Borders and Tawna Whited each generated a hit in game one.
The Oilers will play Northwood today at 2 p.m. in the GLIAC Tournament.
