Fisher Named Pitcher of the Week

Junior Megan Fisher was tabbed the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 17 for her performance at Bellarmine University in the Oilers opening games of the season.

Fisher pitched the Oilers to a 5-2 victory over the Knights in the opener of a doubleheader, striking out two in seven innings of work. She scattered eight hits and allowed two runs, which none of were earned.

She also helped herself out at the plate in the game, finishing 2-for-4 with two runs batted in. In the second game, a 7-3 victory by the Oilers, she went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two runs batted in. She also hit her first career home run in the win.
