Six Named Great Midwest All-Conference

2022-23 Softball All-Conference

Findlay, Ohio- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced its selections for the 2023 softball all-conference teams on Wednesday, May 3 at the beginning of the Great Midwest Softball Championship Tournament. Findlay, which is the fifth seed in the tournament, took home six all-conference awards.

First Team 

Senior Caroline Turner earned first team all-conference honors. The utility fielder is hitting .324 on the year. She has recorded 22 RBI while scoring 15 runs of her own. 

Second Team

First baseman, senior Olivia Carlton was named to the second team. She has recorded 51 hits, scoring 24 runs. She has amassed a .364 batting average, the tenth best in the conference, with five home runs. The infielder has a .979 fielding percentage.

Third Team

Earning the first all-conference award of her career, is freshman Annika Bredel The second baseman, Bredel has hit .315 this season. She has recorded 41 hits and 26 RBIs. The Wellington, Ohio native has a .949 fielding percentage. 

Sophomore Rachel Mease is fifteenth in the conference in hitting. The outfielder has hit .371 this season, scoring ten runs on 23 hits.

Emma Jones, who has led the Oilers in the circle this season, has a 15-3 record. The sophomore has thrown eighteen games- striking out 77, while allowing 43 runs on 106 hits. She has the sixth best ERA in the conference at 2.17. 

Junior Kaitlynn Briggs, the catcher for Findlay, has a batting average of .349. She has recorded 18 RBI and seven runs. The Mount Vernon, Ohio native has a .993 fielding average- the sixth best in the G-MAC.
