Oilers Swimming Competes at Lewis

Romeoville, Illinois - The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams took place in a tri meet against Lewis University and Hillsdale College. The men's only competed against Lewis University, and lost by the score of 133 to 71. For the women's, they defeated Lewis University by the score of 129 to 75, but lost to Hillsdale College 110 to 95.

Men's Results:

The men's 200 yard medley relay of Tim Stollings, Isaac Stretch, Alex Wisler, and Trent Williams won with a time of 1:35.15.

Colin Martin placed first in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 52.90. Wisler placed third with a time of 53.57. 

Stretch placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 58.59. 

Stollings and Stretch placed second and third in the 50 yard freestyle, clocking in at times of 21.74 and 22.60. 

Stollings placed second in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 53.60, while Paul Pavala placed third with a time of 54.96.

Women's Results:

The women's "A" team of Chris McFarland, Kristina Coleman, Katy Kouvaris, and Megan Irwan placed first in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:48.36.

Hanna Cedarholm placed first in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:09.66. Ahston Klopp placed second in the 200 yard IM, clocking in at 2:16.66.

Kouvaris placed first in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 58.96. 

Sydney Zimdars placed second in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:02.29. 

Irwin placed second in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.79. 

McFarland placed third in the 50 yard freestyle, clocking in at 24.92, while Coleman placed fourth with a time of 25.10. McFarland added a first place finish in the 100 yard backstroke, clocking in at 58.85. 

Coleman placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke, clocking in at 1:07.84. 

The Oilers swimming teams next event will take place on Thursday, December 5 through Saturday, December 7 at Grand Rapids, Michigan. On all of those days, races will begin at 10:00 AM.
