Swimming and Diving Teams Break Into CSCAA Top 25

Findlay, OH - On Thursday, Nov. 11, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) released it's first top-25 poll since the season began. Both the men's and women's programs at the University of Findlay cracked the poll as the men moved up to no. 21 in the country while the women are ranked no. 25.

For the Oilers men, it is the team's first time in program history that they have appeared in the CSCAA Top-25 poll. Findlay has swimmers ranked in the top ten in the country in seven different events. Sophomore Daniel Garcia is ranked fifth in the country in the 50 breast and fourth in the country in the 200 medley relay. Junior Tim Stollings is currently sixth in the 50 fly and tenth in the 50 back while freshman Rafael Machado Lozano is ranked ninth in the country in the 1650 freestyle. The Oilers also boast the second-best 800 freestyle relay and the fourth-best 200 medley relay team in the country.

Findlay's women have now been ranked in the top-25 in the CSCAA poll in a fourth season after being ranked in 2014-15, 2017-18, and 2018-19, the year the team reached its' highest ranking at no. 17. The Oilers' women have five top-15 marks in the country as sophomore Cecilia Langle is 15th in the 200 free and freshman Sasha Melnyk is 16th in the 50 back. Findlay's 200 medley relay team is currently seventh-best in the nation while diver Addison Fleischman is ranked sixth in the 1-meter and seventh in the 3-meter dive.
