Top-10 Individual Performances | #4 Emily Mears-Bentley

The Oilers had another incredible year as multiple student-athletes saw success at both the conference and national level. In order to further honor those accomplishments, Findlay's media relations staff has put together a top-10 list of individual performances from the year and will release them throughout the summer months.

#4 | Emily Mears-Bentley | Swimming & Diving

Freshman Emily Mears-Bentley made an immediate impact for the Oilers in the pool. The Leicester, England native won gold in seven different events at the Great Midwest / Mountain East Conference Championship. She helped guide Findlay to their win at the championship, the first since 2019. In turn, Mears-Bentley was named Women's Athlete of the Year and Women's Freshman of the Year by the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

Mears-Bentley qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championship in the 100-yard butterfly and the 50, 100, and 200-yard freestyle. She picked up three all-American accolades at the event. 

In her inaugural season with the Oilers, Emily Mears-Bentley set program records in the 100 freestyle (50.52), 200 freestyle (1:50.28), 100 butterfly (54.14), 200 butterfly (2:03.94), 200 freestyle relay (1:33.29), and the 800 freestyle relay (7:37.22).
