Oilers Compete at Kent State Tune Up

The University of Findlay men's and women's track teams competed at the Kent State Tune Up in Kent, Ohio on February 17.

Men
Junior George Effah took second in the men's 400 meter dash, running a 47.97 to record a new Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) record and earn a NCAA provisional qualifying mark. 

In the men's 4x400 meter race, the Oilers earned sixth place. Effah, junior Zach Jellison, Freshman Daniel Agbola, and sophomore Kurt Grieger ran a 3:22.98.

Senior Trey Everett ran jumped for 7.18m (23-06.75) in the men's long jump to earn a provisional qualifying mark and take sixth place.

In the men's 800 meter run, Agbola ran a 1:56.24 to earn a seventh place finish.

Women

Senior Milani Glass also took second in the 60 meter hurdles with a provisional qualifying time of 8.74.
In the 200 meter dash, glass ran a 25.38 to take third, while sophomore Semoy Hemmings placed fifth in the event with a time of 25.51.
Hemmings ran a 57.88 in the 400 meter dash to earn third place in the event.
