Oilers Compete at Tiffelberg Open

Results

The University of Findlay track and field team had athletes competed at the Tiffelberg Open in Tiffin, Ohio on April 6.

Men

The men's 4x400 meter relay team earned first place in their event. Freshman Lane Kolb, junior Gavin Stepansky, sophomore Seth Saylor, and sophomore Daniel Agbola ran a 3:21.66 collectively.

Senior Eldred Henry finished first in the men's discus with his provisional qualifying throw of 53.52m (175-07.00), while junior Javian Martin threw for 45.36m (148-10.00) to finish fifth.

In the men's 800 meters, Agbola ran a 1:54.82 to earn first place.
Junior Ty Gleason took second in the men's 5,000 meters with a time of 15:24.96.

In the men's hammer throw, senior Austin Combs threw for 57.97m (190-02.00) to hit a provisional qualifying mark and earn a second place finish.

Combs placed third in the men's shot put with his provisional qualifying throw of 16.65m (54-07.50).

In the men's 200 meter dash, freshman Ethan Pensante ran a 21.90 to finish third.

The men's 4x100 meter relay squad finished in third place. Senior Zach Jellison, freshman Ethan Pensante, Stepansky, and Kolb collectively ran a 42.42.

Senior Khalil Capers jumped for 6.52m (21-04.75) to place fourth in the men's long jump.

In the men's 110 meter hurdles, freshman Josh Steinbrunner ran a 14.98 to earn fourth place.

Sophomore Gabe Makin hit a provisional qualifying mark in the men's pole vault with his vault of 4.80m (15-09.00) to help him earn fourth place.

Women

The women 4x400 meter relay team placed first in their event. Junior Jenna Shipman, junior Aubreah Manns, freshman Mikaely Pean, and freshman Hayley Robinett ran a 4:00.21 collectively.

Robinett also earned first place in the women's 400 meters with a time of 59.18. Manns ran a 59.91 to finish fifth in the event.

In the women's hammer throw, senior Hannah Hahler threw for 47.00m (154-02.00) to earn first place.

Hahler finished third in the women's shot put with her 13.94m (45-09.00) provisional qualifying throw.

Freshman Gabrielle Lawrence ran a 5:00.19 to take third place in the women's 1500 meters.

In the women's pole vault, freshman Meadow Cromer vaulted for 3.05m (10-00.00) to earn fourth.

Shipman ran a 35.84 in the women's 200cmeter dash to finish third.
