Oilers Compete at Walsh Invitational

Results

The University of Findlay track and field team competed at the Walsh Invitational in North Canton, Ohio on April 13.

Men

The men's 4x400 meter relay squad collectively ran a 3:15.25 to break a new Great Midwest Athletic Conference record. Freshman Lane Kolb, junior Gavin Stepansky, freshman Xavier Marable, sophomore Daniel Agbola, and sophomore Seth Saylor earned second place in the event.

The men's 4x100 meter relay team also placed second in their event. Senior Zach Jellison, freshman Ethan Pensante, Stepansky, and Kolb ran a 42.43 collectively.

In the men's long jump, junior Khalil Capers finished third with a distance of 6.48m (21-03.25).

Freshman Justin Dreyling jumped a 6.46m (21-02.50) to place fourth in the event

Freshman Josh Steinbrunner ran a 14.99 in the men's 110 meter hurdles to finish third.  

In the men's 400 meter dash, junior Lenell Shelby III earned third place with a time of 49.11.

Shelby placed third in the men's 200 meter dash by running a 21.75, while Marable ran a 22.10 to finish fifth.

In the men's 400 meter hurdles, Saylor ran a 55.86 to place fourth.

Sophomore Gabe Makin place fourth in the men's pole vault with his 4.75m (15-07.00) vault.

Women

The women's 4x400 meter relay team earned second place. Aubreah Manns, Pean, Semoy Hemmings, Hailey Robinett ran a 3:58.36 collectively.

In the women's pole vault, freshman Meadow Cromer placed third with a 3.60m (11.09.25) vault.

Junior Jenna Shipman jumped for 5.43m (17-09.75) in the women's long jump to finish third.
