G-MAC All-Conference Announced | Henry Named Field AOY

All-Conference Release

Junior Eldred Henry was named the 2019 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Outdoor Track Field Athlete of the Year as the league office unveiled their annual postseason awards on May 15.

Henry, who was also named first team all-conference, also claimed the honor during the indoor season as well. Henry won two conference titles for the Oilers at the league championship, capturing gold in the shot put at 66'08.50 and discus at 172'05. His throw in the shot put established a new G-MAC record.

Senior Austin Combs, freshman Justin Dreyling, and freshman Xavier Marable joined Henry on the first team from the men's squad. Combs took home a conference title in the hammer throw with a heave of 212'09 while Dreyling won the triple jump with a mark of 46'10.00. Marable earned his way on the first team by taking home a league championship in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.68.

In addition, senior Daniel Agbola, freshman Lane Kolb, and junior Gavin Stepansky all earned second team all-conference accolades for Findlay. The trio teamed with Marable to finish as the runner-up in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:16.94.

On the women's side, juniors Hannah Hahler and Semoy Hemmings captured first team all-conference honors. Hahler was the conference champ in the discus with a G-MAC record-breaking throw of 152'00 while Hemmings won the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.65.

Freshman Meadow Cromer, junior Aubreah Manns, freshman Hayley Robinett, and junior Jenna Shipman all earned second team all-league accolades for Findlay as well.

Cromer finished as the runner-up in the pole vault with a leap of 11'09.75 while Manns, Robinett, and Shipman teamed with Hemmings to finish as the runner-up in the 4x400-meter relay at 3:52.03.
