Top-10 Individual Performances | #8 Xavier Marable

The Oilers had another incredible year as multiple athletes and teams saw success at both the conference and national level. The UF media relations staff has put together a top-10 list of individual performances from the year and will release them throughout the summer months.

#8 | Xavier Marable | Track & Field

Freshman Xavier Marable made the most of his first collegiate season for the Oilers track and field team and earned NCAA Division II All-American accolades in the 400-meter dash during the indoor portion of the schedule.

Marable won the 400-meter dash at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship during the indoor season with a time of 47.86 to earn first team all-league honors. He was also named the G-MAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Year and was selected as the G-MAC Indoor Freshman of the Year.

During the outdoor season, Marable again claimed a conference title in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.68 and qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championship.

Marable also earned all-region honors during the indoor and outdoor seasons and was a first team all-conference pick in each of the two seasons as well.
