Top-10 Individual Performances | #1 Eldred Henry

The Oilers had another incredible year as multiple athletes and teams saw success at both the conference and national level. The UF media relations staff has put together a top-10 list of individual performances from the year and will release them throughout the summer months.

#1 | Eldred Henry | Track & Field

Junior Eldred Henry had a remarkable season for the Oilers track and field team and never lost a shot put competition. Henry also broke NCAA Division II shot put records during both the indoor and outdoor seasons with marks of 20.61 meters and 21.47 meters, respectively.

During the indoor season, Henry was named the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II Field Athlete of the Year after winning the national championship in the shot put. He also won a conference title in the event to earn first team all-league honors and was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Field Athlete of the Year.

In outdoor competition, Henry won the national title in the shot put and also earned All-American honors in the discus. He was selected as the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Field Athlete of the Year and also captured G-MAC Field Athlete of the Year accolades. Henry was also named first team all-conference as well after winning conference titles in the shot put and discus.
