Findlay Duals Ohio Dominican in Track Home Opener

Results

The University of Findlay men and women's indoor track and field teams hosted Ohio Dominican University in a dual on Jan. 16 and combined to win 18 events at the meet.

On the women's side, senior Jenna Shipman won the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.40 and teamed with freshman Hannah Rybicki, sophomore Adriana Jutte, and junior Hayley Robinett to win the 4x400-meter relay at 4:15.09. Jutte also scored a victory in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.70 while Robinett won the 400-meter dash at 1:04.20.

Sophomore Simone Green also scored a pair of victories as she won the long jump with a leap of 18'01.50 and the triple jump at 37'09.25 while junior Meadow Cromer won the pole vault with a NCAA DII provisional qualifying mark of 12'00.00.

Sophomore Meghan Donoher was victorious in the mile with a time of 5:40.18, senior Brooke Mangas won the high jump at 5'03.75, and sophomore Paige Emnett got the gold in the weight throw with a heave of 52'06.75.

On the men's side, junior Xavier Marable scored a pair of victories as he won the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.00 and the 200-meter dash at 22.27,

Senior Sterling Mungro reached the NCAA DII provisional mark in the weight throw with a toss of 63'09.50 to claim top honors and sophomore Max Prenger won the shot put with a mark of 47'11.75.

In the high jump, senior Emanuel Durden won the event with a leap of 6'06.75 while freshman Aaron Cooper reached the same height while finishing second.

Sophomore Keandre Marlow scored a win in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.75 for the Oilers as well while sophomore Jacob Michael was first in the pole vault at 13'09.00.

The Oilers 4x400-meter relay team of sophomore Josh Verhoff, sophomore Ethan Pensante, freshman Joe Sadowski, and freshman Gabriel Foster also were victorious, winning their race with a time of 3:36.91.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Jan. 22 at Hillsdale, Mich. for the Sequential Border War.
