Mungro | Maag Honored by G-MAC

The University of Findlay men and women's indoor track and field teams had 21 athletes earn all-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) for the 2020-21 season.

On the men's side, the all-conference awards highlighted junior Sterling Mungro and head coach Blaine Maag. Mungro was named the Field Athlete of the Year while Maag took home Coach of the Year honors after leading the men's team to a league championship. Mungro also earned first team all-conference honors in the weight throw after winning a conference title and later a national championship in the event.

Joining Mungro on the first team was junior Xavier Marable (400m), sophomore Josh Verhoff (200m), senior Emanuel Durden (high jump), senior Martin Etsey (triple jump), and sophomore Keandre Marlow (heptathlon). All captured G-MAC titles in their respective events earlier in the season.

Freshman Gabriel Foster (mile) and freshman Aaron Cooper (high jump) were voted second team all-conference while sophomore Cameron Stine (high jump) earned third team honors.

On the women's side, junior Hayley Robinett (800m), junior Gabrielle Lawrence (5000m), sophomore Paige Emnett (weight throw), and sophomore Morgan England (pole vault) all earned first team all-conference accolades after winning league titles in their respective events.

Freshman Cassidy Baran, senior Jenna Shipman, freshman Hannah Rybicki, and freshman Bethany Smith all earned second team all-conference honors in the 4x400 while sophomore Lindsey Kluesener (pole vault) and sophomore Simone Green (long jump) joined them on the second team.

Freshman Madison Myers (long jump) and sophomore Carlee Siefker (pentathlon) were named third team for the Oilers as well.
