Oilers Compete in Hillsdale Tune-Up

Results

Hillsdale, MI - The University of Findlay men's and women's outdoor track and field team competed in the Hillsdale Tune-Up meet on Friday, April 30. 

Women

Junior Meadow Cromer took gold in pole vault at 3.89 meters, which was also good enough for the provisional mark in the event. Sophomore Lindsey Kluesener tied for second place in the event at 3.74 meters, reaching the provisional mark as well. 

In the high jump, junior Brooke Mangas reached the provisional mark in the event, jumping to the heights of 1.69 meters, and put her in second place in the event. 

Sophomore Paige Emnett added to the list of Oilers who made the provisional mark as she did so in the shot put, launching a throw of 14.15 meters, which placed her second overall. Emnett also had a first place and another provisional mark finish in the discus throw at 47.45 meters.

Men

Senior Dequan Lovell and junior Max Prenger both reached the provisional mark in discus with throws of 51.02 meters and 50.95 meters, placing them fifth and sixth in the event, respectfully. 

The Oilers will be back in action tomorrow as they will compete in the Kentucky Invitational at the University of Kentucky. We will keep you updated with results when it is concluded.
